"Social Development" Prepares to Celebrate Family Day in Qatar
In cooperation with Family Consulting Center (Wifaq), Ministry of Social Development and Family is preparing to celebrate “Family Day in Qatar”, which falls on the fifteenth of April every year. This was to emphasize the importance of the family and its pivotal active role in the process of development and construction.
This year's celebration comes in a context that witnesses the ministry's fulfilment of its responsibilities towards society and family development, which reflects a fundamental interest in social and family development, which is the pillar of society. Whenever the family is healthy, balanced, and complementary in roles, it will be the first shield of development and prosperity in Qatar.
Mrs. Reem Al-Ajmi emphasized that the great interest in the family comes from the wise leadership’s belief in the centrality of the family in building and national development, adding that the advancement of the family is the advancement of society. This also comes through concerted all efforts to support and care for it and protect its security, stability, and cohesion by investing in well-studied events and programs that would Contribute to achieving the greatest degree of stability and family cohesion in society, enabling it to face challenges, especially those that target its value system and social contract.
She pointed out that social development is part of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which reflects the country's wise leadership's interest in building an effective social protection system that takes care of their rights, values their active participation in the national development process, and dedicates their complementary roles in this process, based on the essence of the family.
The Ministry's programs and activities celebrating Family Day in Qatar include various activities such as induction tours to primary schools in the country, for boys and girls. This is to promote the value of family cohesion, in addition to educational activities for students in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Education, such as lectures, workshops, and agricultural activity to plant bramble seedlings. The Friday sermon is devoted to the importance of the family and its role in instilling values in the hearts of children. Friday sermons are urged to shed light and highlight the importance of values that must be instilled in young people. This was in coordination and cooperation with Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the location of the main event for the public was determined in the garden of the Islamic Museum and Torba in Qatar Foundation.
A special hashtag will be launched on this occasion through the various communication platforms, entitled #Family_Day_in_Qatar. A family that enjoys strong bonds inspired by the true Islamic religion and its well-established and authentic value system.
