MSDF Launches “Amwali” Campaign to Boost Financial Awareness Under Third National Strategy 2024-2030
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has announced the launch of “Amwali” (My Finances), a new financial literacy campaign. This initiative is a key part of Qatar's Third National Strategy (2024-2030), aiming to instill a culture of sound financial management among Qatari society members and foster financial sustainability within families.
The campaign, supported by the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund and partnered with various government entities and civil society organizations, underscores the State's commitment to achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision.
Events kicked off at Gewan Island, The Pearl, with the attendance of Her Excellency Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs, alongside senior officials, representatives from partner organizations, and many families, citizens, and those interested in financial matters.
The event featured a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere. The Family Empowerment Department organized a series of workshops, guidance sessions, and awareness competitions. Financial experts from the Qatar Accountants Association provided consultation booths, offering free advice on family budgeting, savings plans, and expense management, as well as highlighting the importance of saving and proper financial planning. Recreational activities for children were also held, designed to instill positive financial values from a young age.
This event is part of a comprehensive media campaign aimed at broadening financial awareness. The campaign witnessed widespread participation from various supporting entities, which contributed expertise and practical experience to assist families in overcoming daily financial challenges.
To enhance community engagement, the campaign organized competitions and incentive prizes for participating families, reinforcing concepts of budgeting and saving among individuals.
The “Amwali” (My Finances) campaign will continue until the end of the current year with specialized events and training workshops targeting various groups, particularly young adults approaching marriage, university students, and new employees. The goal is to enhance financial awareness and ensure the sustained economic stability of families.
