The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has announced the establishment of the Qatari Road Safety Association. Established under Decree-Law No. (21) of 2020 concerning private associations and institutions, the association aims to raise traffic safety awareness and reduce traffic accidents in Qatar. The association will coordinate with relevant authorities to achieve its goals at Headquarters in Doha.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, in collaboration with Al Noor Institute for the Blind and Al Wakra Municipality, organized "Barrier-Free Steps" Initiative in celebration of National Sports Day 2025. The event took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the sustainable seaside walkway for visually impaired individuals at Al Wakra Public Beach. This 500-meter walkway, the first of its kind in the region, features Braille-guided signboards and is constructed from recycled materials.
