Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Meets with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman
The Ministry of Social Development and Family met with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to enhance bilateral cooperation in humanitarian and social care.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar, and Mr. Ali Al-Aisri, Director of the Omani Joint Labor Office, from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman. From the Ministry of Social Development and Family of Qatar, Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs, and Ms. Maha Hamad Al-Attiyah, Director of the International Cooperation Department, were present.
The meeting focused on several key areas, most notably enhancing cooperation in social development, particularly in employment and social care. Discussions centered on the importance of collaboration in supporting people with disabilities and autism, exploring the possibility of attracting specialized Omani professionals to work in centers affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work. The meeting also explored the potential benefits of using the secondment system for employees instead of traditional employment methods to streamline procedures.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs discussed the Qatari side's need for Omani professionals specializing in humanitarian fields and family and social care homes.
The meeting also addressed the upcoming visit of His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Sultanate of Oman in January. This visit is anticipated to strengthen further cooperation ties between the two countries in various fields.
Both parties expressed their support for the Qatari Ministry of Social Development and Family's ongoing initiative to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Sultanate of Oman in social development. They emphasized the significance of these initiatives in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering expertise exchange in social work and human development.
The meeting also explored mechanisms for sending Qatari employees for training in the Sultanate of Oman to enhance their skills and facilitate expertise exchange between the two countries in social fields.
This meeting underscores the commitment to strengthening fraternal relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar and solidifying cooperation in various humanitarian and social fields.
