MSDF launches internal digital development plan program to empower national competencies

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Information Systems Department, has launched the “Internal Digital Development Plan” (DDP) program for empowering employees and building advanced digital skills.

This initiative is in line with the Ministry’s vision of providing high-quality services to citizens and promoting digital transformation.

The program aims to enhance work efficiency and achieve sustainable development by enabling national competencies to use the latest digital technologies and build national competencies.

The Digital Development Plan program was launched on May 15, 2024, to provide the Ministry’s employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to use digital systems efficiently.

The program also enhances the capabilities of employees in the fields of advanced technology, and works to develop national competencies that are considered the cornerstone of the success of digital transformation; thus increasing the Ministry’s ability to provide innovative services in line with the aspirations of Qatari society.

Director of the Information Systems Department Ahmed Khalil Abdullah explained that the program provides specialized training to develop the technical skills of employees, enabling them to use the latest digital tools, which enhances productivity and improves performance.

He said: “The focus is on developing management and leadership skills, through training programs covering areas such as software management, leadership, and adapting to digital transformations. This approach ensures that employees are empowered to lead digital transformation projects effectively.”

The program provides an opportunity for employees to obtain internationally recognized certificates in the fields of digital technology.

This type of certificate contributes to enhancing the status of employees inside and outside the Ministry, and is evidence of the high efficiency they possess. In addition, obtaining these certificates is considered an important step in enhancing professional competencies and achieving sustainable success.

The program has made many achievements since its launch, with four employees receiving accredited certificates in information technology.

These employees were able to develop advanced control panels to support the work of the Information Systems Department, which contributed to improving the efficiency of operations and providing a clear vision of the Ministry’s activities.

MSDF has provided diverse training content covering various areas of information systems for enhancing digital training opportunities.

The Ministry has also participated in global educational platforms to provide specialised training paths, which helps employees keep pace with the latest developments in digital technology.

As the program continues to grow, it aims to expand the scope of training to include more employees, with a focus on developing their capabilities in technical and administrative fields.

The program will help accelerate the Ministry’s digital transformation process, with further achievements on several levels.

The Ministry’s keenness on the importance of this initiative reflects the directives of Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, who appreciates the efforts of Qatar and its commitment to promoting digitization and education, which contributes to achieving sustainable development.”

These efforts come within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030 to achieve comprehensive digital transformation that serves society in all its categories.
