The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs, represented by the Training and Continuing Education Department, held a workshop entitled Customs Procedures for Owners of Productive Projects From the Homeland on December 26 at the Social Development Center in the Pearl.
The workshop aims to achieve familiarity with customs laws related to small business owners, introduce methods for importing project supplies with such licenses granted to them, and avoid customs violations. Mr. Musa Muhammad Musleh, senior customs training expert at the General Authority of Customs, presented this workshop and addressed several topics: defining the stages and procedures for customs clearance of goods and the documents required for their clearance, including the steps that stakeholders who wish to complete commercial operations of import must take. Mrs. Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, said that the Ministry is keen to develop the skills of the owners of these projects by involving them in training workshops and awareness lectures and providing auxiliary services.
