Qatar Pledges Continued Dedication to an Inclusive Social Framework for Justice and Stability

Building on her participation in the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development held in Beirut, Her Excellency Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabri Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ministerial session entitled: "Returning to the Principle of Inclusion in Social Development to Address Inequality."

Minister Al-Nuaimi asserted that social development is no longer a secondary consideration but a vital pillar for political stability, economic progress, and strong communities, especially amidst the current global and regional challenges.

She emphasized the need for an inclusive social approach that puts people at the heart of development. Qatar, she stated, champions a collaborative model involving all sectors to achieve social justice, empower diverse groups, and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Looking ahead, Minister Al-Nuaimi urged the inclusion of Arab nations' unique cultural and social contexts in the final declaration of the Second World Summit for Social Development, set to take place in Doha. She stressed the importance of empowering women and youth, strengthening families, expanding social safety nets, and creating more adaptable policies that respond to evolving societies.

Highlighting Qatar's national achievements, the Minister showcased key initiatives in social protection, welfare, digital service transformation, empowerment programs, and support for social innovation. She affirmed that these efforts align with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the forum, Minister Al-Nuaimi also met with Dr. Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of ESCWA. Their discussion focused on boosting collaboration, particularly regarding preparations for the upcoming Doha summit and exchanging expertise in social protection and empowering vulnerable groups.
