Qatar participates in the Asian Family Conference in Singapore
Qatar participated in the Asian Family Conference 2022, held in the Republic of Singapore, and it was titled "Empowering Asian Families: Embracing Challenges and Building a Better Future".
Her Excellency, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Masnad, represented the State of Qatar at the Conference as Minister of Social Development and Family through visual communication technology. In her address to the Conference, she also stressed that the preservation of the family system, cohesion, and values constitute the building block for the building of a healthy and successful society for any nation, highlighting that this sheds the light on the magnitude of the challenge faced by the family because of the fever of promoting hybrid alternative forms, as well as the promotion of individuality as the alternative to a cohesive family.
The Minister called on policymakers to support the State of Qatar's initiative, creating a mechanism for further complementary cooperation and addressing campaigns to weaken both the concept and the practice of the family. This was as a guarantee of sustainable human development, based on shared values and ethical principles linking the Asian States to the Arab and Islamic worlds.
