MSDF's Home-Grown Projects Shine at Ramadan Exhibition 2025
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), through its Family Empowerment Department, recently held a successful Ramadan Exhibition to bolster community development and support the national economy. The event, held at the Ministry's headquarters in North City from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, provided a key opportunity for local entrepreneurs participating in Home-Grown projects to showcase their creations to a wider audience.
This initiative strengthens connections between these projects and the community, promoting locally produced goods and fostering a culture of supporting national products. Visitors had the chance to engage directly with project owners, learning about their work and the stories behind their products.
MSDF's core objectives for the exhibition included empowering Home-Grown projects economically, developing project owners' skills, and increasing their market competitiveness. By promoting sustainable economic development and self-employment among Qatari families, the initiative plays a vital role in diversifying the economy and creating jobs. Many of these projects are led by women, highlighting their significant contributions to local production and expanding market opportunities.
"At the MSDF, we are committed to providing comprehensive support to owners of Home-Grown projects," said Ms. Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department. "Our goal is to foster a culture of sustainability and encourage individuals and families to transition from consumption to production, ultimately achieving self-sufficiency and creating employment opportunities."
Project owners expressed gratitude for the Ministry's ongoing support, noting that Qatari society is increasingly embracing national products thanks to MSDF's efforts to promote their projects through events like this exhibition. They emphasized the exhibition's role in raising awareness of their products and expanding their market reach.
The MSDF remains dedicated to supporting Home-Grown projects in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. This vision aims to achieve social development, self-sufficiency, and an enhanced quality of life for all, while fostering innovation and creativity in national projects to contribute to a sustainable and diversified economy.
