MSDF Supports Women Entrepreneurs at Juman Festival
Through its Family Empowerment Department, the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) proudly participates in the vibrant Juman Festival, hosted by the Dana Girls Center. This dynamic event, held at Al-Salata New Park from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, showcases Qatari women's remarkable talent and entrepreneurial spirit.
Juman Festival is a crucial platform for supporting and empowering female entrepreneurs with home-grown projects, providing them with invaluable opportunities to market their products and achieve economic independence. The MSDF's presence highlights its commitment to fostering this growth and connecting these talented women with a wider audience.
Festival attendees can expect a rich tapestry of activities, including diverse entrepreneurial ventures, enriching development and educational programs, captivating interactive theater, creative art workshops, exquisite clothing and handicrafts, nostalgic traditional games, and a delightful array of culinary experiences. The festival also features engaging awareness and entertainment programs for visitors of all ages.
Among the standout projects is Shagra (shagra.qa), a business specializing in premium Arabic coffee and delectable sweets. The owner also offers a fully equipped mobile coffee cart, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any occasion. Additionally, Aisha Al-Hajri, the visionary behind Ayalhajri, is showcasing her unique graphic designs, including personalized greeting cards, innovative planners, stylish stickers, and chic bags. Her collection is further enhanced by elegant accessories, such as keychains and custom tags, reflecting her distinct artistic flair.
The MSDF is dedicated to empowering national home-grown projects, recognizing their vital role in driving the nation's economy and contributing to sustainable development. The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Protection Section of the Social Protection Department, is set to launch the "Gharsa Program" in collaboration with the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
