The Ministry of Social Development and Family, in a powerful demonstration of its commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship, successfully participated in the Home-Grown Projects initiative at Children’s Street during Ramadan.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality, the Family Empowerment Department of the Ministry of Social Development and Family supported five thriving Home-Grown Projects in Abu Dhalouf on Friday, the 14th of Ramadan, coinciding with the vibrant Garangao Night celebrations. This initiative provided a dynamic platform for national entrepreneurs to showcase and promote their unique products to a broad local audience.
The event proved to be a resounding success, strengthening the connection between home-grown entrepreneurs and the community. Attendees enthusiastically engaged with the diverse offerings, which included authentic traditional Qatari dishes and meticulously crafted handmade items. This direct interaction increased awareness of these exceptional local products and cultivated a strong culture supporting national enterprises.
The five Home-Grown projects presented high-quality goods from diverse collections, generating significant interest and positive feedback from attendees.
Ms. Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry, reiterated the Ministry’s unwavering dedication to supporting home-grown projects. "We are committed to creating sustainable environments that enable our entrepreneurs to effectively market their products at strategic locations, festivals, and local exhibitions," she stated. "Furthermore, we are dedicated to enhancing their commercial skills to align with the evolving needs of the local market."
The Home-grown entrepreneurs expressed profound gratitude for the Ministry’s support, highlighting the Qatari community's reliance on locally produced goods. "The Ministry’s continuous efforts in promoting our businesses have been instrumental in our growth," they noted. "These initiatives have significantly increased our product exposure and public awareness, contributing directly to the vitality of the national economy."
