MSDF Launches E-Platform for Managing Associations and Private Institutions
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has launched the e-platform for managing associations and private institutions, as part of its efforts to keep pace with Qatar's digital transformation, enhance user experience and develop the services provided to associations and private institutions registered under Decree-Law No. (21) of 2020 on Associations and Private Institutions. The platform facilitates access to information and services and reflects the Ministry's commitment to providing advanced digital services that meet the needs of all segments of society.
The platform aims to bring together the services and procedures related to the work of associations and private institutions within a unified electronic channel, helping to expedite transactions, simplify procedures, strengthen communication and integration with the competent department, and improve the beneficiary experience.
The platform's services cover multiple stages of the work of associations and private institutions, from establishment and licensing, through procedures related to membership and general assembly meetings, to activities, events, reports and other regulatory and administrative procedures, offering beneficiary entities a wide range of services that can be completed electronically.
In terms of establishment and licensing, the platform offers services for establishing an association or private institution, as well as licence renewal, enabling the relevant procedures to be completed electronically in accordance with approved requirements and facilitating the interaction of associations and private institutions with the competent department.
The platform also provides a number of electronic services, including requesting approval to hold a general assembly meeting and adding a new member, supporting the organization of procedures related to managing the affairs of the association or institution and facilitating their completion online.
For activities and events, the platform enables entities to notify the Ministry of an upcoming event or activity and submit activity reports, providing an electronic channel for procedures related to programmes and events implemented by associations and private institutions, and supporting their organization and follow-up.
In addition to the e-services for associations and private institutions, the platform offers a public information window that allows users to browse the associations and private institutions registered with the Ministry and learn about their objectives and board members. This enhances transparency, facilitates access to information, and helps raise awareness of the role of civil society organizations, their fields of work and their contributions to serving society.
In this context, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Hajri, Director of the Private Associations and Institutions Department at MSDF, affirmed that the launch of the platform represents an important step in developing the framework for working with associations and private institutions, by employing digital solutions to simplify procedures and raise the efficiency of the services provided to them.
He explained that making services and procedures available through a unified e-platform will ease the beneficiary journey and speed up the processing and tracking of requests, supporting associations and private institutions in carrying out their work within a more efficient and organized framework.
He added that the platform reflects the Ministry's keenness to facilitate civil society organizations' access to its services and to provide a simpler and clearer experience in accessing services and information, thereby supporting the role of associations and private institutions and their contributions to serving society.
The launch of the platform comes as part of MSDF's efforts to continue its digital transformation and adopt modern technological solutions, in line with the State's direction towards developing an integrated digital government system and raising the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
