Under the patronage of Minister of Social Development and Family H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Department of Associations and Private Institutions, organized a ceremony to honor the qualitative initiatives of private associations and institutions.

The ceremony was held to appreciate these institutions' efforts in serving the community and promoting sustainable development and to emphasize their role in strengthening partnerships with state institutions and achieving national development goals.

This is in addition to the role played by associations in providing many social, scientific, cultural, and economic services to the Qatari community, including the participating initiatives of pioneering and innovative ideas to serve the community.

Private associations and institutions are pillars of social capital, and all voluntary institutions contribute to economic, social, and cultural development.

Al Khayarin added that the ceremony enhances the role of private associations and institutions in developing development projects that contribute to improving the lives of citizens.

He noted that the Ministry would continue to support these initiatives and provide the appropriate environment for them to improve the level of social services provided.

The winning associations in the distinguished initiatives were honored. Qatar Livestock Society, Anaam won first place, the Qatari Society of Arabic Language won second place, and the Qatari Society of Engineers won third place.

During the ceremony, the supporting entities were honored, namely the General Department of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Qatar Charity.

The members of the jury who participated in sorting the submitted initiatives and ensuring their compliance with the standards were also honored.

A number of associations demonstrated excellence in their work, and some successful projects that impacted the improvement of the living conditions of the target groups were highlighted.

Director of the Associations and Private Institutions Department Naji Al Aji stressed that supporting the qualitative initiatives of private associations and institutions aims to motivate social institutions to continue providing qualitative services and contribute to building a more cohesive and sustainable society.
