MSDF Continues Second Day of Arab Forum on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development

MSDF continued the activities of the Sixth Arab Ministerial Forum on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development for its second consecutive day. The event featured a distinguished group of officials, experts, and policymakers, focusing on key issues related to housing and social development through the presentation of national case studies from participating nations.

During the sessions, the State of Qatar highlighted its housing system in light of the Qatar National Development Strategy 2024–2030, showcasing national policies and ongoing efforts to enhance sustainability and quality of life.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan presented its experience in a session titled "Integrated Future Cities Centered on Comprehensive Sustainable Development," emphasizing integrated urban planning and its role in supporting social growth. Meanwhile, the Republic of Iraq discussed its national housing policy, focusing on the challenges and opportunities associated with providing adequate housing.

The Arab Republic of Egypt addressed housing legislation and policies aimed at improving quality of life and ensuring the right to adequate housing for all, highlighting legal frameworks that support social justice. Similarly, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia showcased its journey through a session titled "The Homeownership Journey in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," detailing initiatives and policies that contribute to enhancing family stability.

The Syrian Arab Republic discussed the guarantee of the right to adequate housing and basic humanitarian and social services, sharing the Syrian experience in social housing and the primary mechanisms and challenges faced in this field.

The continuation of the forum’s activities underscores the commitment of MSDF to facilitating the exchange of expertise and fostering constructive dialogue between nations. These efforts aim to develop social policies, empower families, and build more cohesive and sustainable communities.
