MSDF Celebrates Eid with Home-Grown Businesses
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, through its Family Empowerment Department, partnered with Al Shamal Municipality for the vibrant "Eid Joy 2025" event held on Thursday, April 3rd, at the scenic Al Ruwais Corniche. The celebration prominently featured the participation of local Home-Grown Projects.
This initiative, a key part of the Eid festivities, underscores the commitment to strengthening ties with relevant state bodies. The event served as a platform to showcase the valuable contribution of national Home-Grown Projects in local events, offering them crucial opportunities to market their products and achieve greater economic empowerment.
"Eid Joy" directly supports the mandate of the Ministry's Family Empowerment Department by enabling these ventures to connect with visitors and promote their offerings, thereby championing local products and industries.
The exhibition spotlighted two thriving Home-Grown Projects: "Ahla Ta'am" (Yummiest Taste) and "Al Anamel for Popular Dishes." Both presented a delectable array of foods, sweets, and beverages, aiming to expand their reach and bolster their economic standing.
The owner of Ahla Ta'am (yummiest_taste) shared her journey, noting the project's establishment in 2015 and her decade-long dedication to its growth and success. With aspirations to become a leading Qatari enterprise, she expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry for its ongoing support and for providing a vital marketing window to enhance her project's visibility and recognition among visitors.
Echoing this sentiment, the owner of "Al Anamel for Popular Dishes" (al.anamal) conveyed her delight at being selected among the Home-Grown Projects for this Eid celebration. Having previously participated in events like Garangao Night, she eagerly anticipates future collaborations in activities organized by the Ministry's Family Empowerment Department. Her project specializes in a diverse selection of traditional cuisine alongside hot and cold drinks.
Significantly, the Ministry of Social Development and Family is actively fostering stronger collaborations between Home-Grown Projects and key stakeholders across the private and public sectors. This strategic approach aims to maximize social development opportunities for families in Qatar, leveraging the unique strengths of these entities to enhance the marketing and production capabilities of local entrepreneurs.
