MSDF and QRCS sign agreement to enhance cooperation
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) to enhance cooperation in exchanging expertise and holding events.
The signing ceremony was attended by Fahd bin Mohammed Al Khayarin, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at MSDF, and Faisal bin Mohammed Al Emadi, Secretary-General of QRCS.
The memorandum was signed by Abdullah Mohammed Al Hajri, Director of the Social Security Department of MSDF, and Hussein Aman Al Ali, Director of the Volunteering and Local Development Sector of QRCS.
Abdullah Mohammed Al-Hajri stressed that signing the Memorandum of Understanding with QRCS comes in line with the national strategies and plans related to family care and in belief in the importance of raising community awareness of protecting the family and strengthening family cohesion.
He noted that the MoU works to enhance cooperation between the two parties in line with the strategic and executive plan of the Ministry, and at the same time aims to implement qualitative projects and initiatives that contribute to achieving the path of development and comprehensive renaissance, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 in the field of human development, and the sustainable development goals aimed at building the capacities of community groups and raising the level of community awareness.
Al-Hajri added: “We believe that this partnership with QRCS, with its extensive experience in the humanitarian and social field, will contribute to the exchange of expertise and the holding of events and conferences, in addition to benefiting from the available capabilities between the two parties to enhance constructive cooperation in the fields of social development, especially family affairs and social services.”
Hussein Aman Al Ali said that this partnership aims to expand the scope of programs that contribute to achieving social development as one of the important pillars, by creating a just and safe society, based on good morals and social care, and capable of dealing and interacting with other societies.
He explained that the memorandum covers several areas, including the exchange of expertise and holding relevant events, through participation in events and conferences organized by the two parties to strengthen cooperation ties between them.
Al Ali said that the two parties will also exchange invitations to attend scientific, cultural, or educational events that fall within the interests of each party, in addition to enhancing the use of the available capabilities between them.
He stressed that this cooperation is an important step towards unifying efforts to achieve common goals, noting that QRCS will work to implement the initiatives following this memorandum in a way that serves the interests of our society and enhances the values of solidarity and mutual support.
