MSDF and Holy Quran Radio Collaborate on Special Podcast for Seniors'/elderly’s Days

In the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) and the Holy Quran Radio, a special podcast episode of "Kayf Asbaht" was prepared and released. This podcast celebrates the International Day of Older Persons (October 1st) and the Arab Day for Senior Citizens (October 10th).

The episode was presented by Mr. Aqeel Al Janahi and hosted Sheikh Ismail Ghareeb Al Kilani. The discussion focused on the vital role of senior citizens ("kibar al-qadr"), covering key areas such as:

  • Social Role: Their contribution to transferring experiences, values, and knowledge to new generations.
  • Respect and Appreciation: The need to promote a culture of honor for them within the family and community.
  • Social Cohesion: Their role in maintaining family and social ties to ensure communal unity.
  • Active Involvement: The importance of truly involving them in community activities and events.

This podcast is part of a series of events and activities organized by MSDF for the occasion. These also included an awareness seminar titled "Senior Citizens at the Heart of Development: Digital Empowerment, Quality of Life, and Community Participation," and a coordinated Friday sermon with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on the importance of benevolence toward seniors.

Through these initiatives, MSDF reaffirms its commitment to a strategic vision that shifts from mere care to empowerment and enhancing the quality of life for all community segments. The MSDF stresses the importance of honoring senior citizens, involving them in public life, and promoting values of respect and gratitude for their pioneering role, reflecting a comprehensive national vision for a cohesive and unified society.
