In its ninth edition, Made in Qatar is one of the most important exhibitions held under the dignified patronage of His highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, who affirms his constant desire to support and empower national projects from the very beginning of their launch to prosperity.

This version is also characterized by the accession of many local market projects, private sector companies, in addition to meeting the needs of the local market with Qatari products, which promotes the principle of encouraging national productive enterprises to go beyond their borders and reach foreign and global markets by concluding deals and partnerships from outside and within the State of Qatar.

The participation aims to showcase the Ministry’s initiative in supporting home-based entrepreneurs and moving them to the stage of entrepreneurs, through the participation of 6 pioneering leading productive projects, such as sword making, perfume production, pottery gift making, coffee and clothing manufacturing, as well as  drawing on leather. These projects are diversified to meet the wishes of the local beneficiary, who in turn promotes national production and stimulates local productive capacity among Qatari productive families, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the family's and women's economic role, their contribution to production and the prosperity of the productive base.

Ms. Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, stated that the Ministry, in turn, is paving the way for these national production projects to move towards providing their services and goods to the local public by providing them with outlets that enable them to display their products. This exhibition is also a strong opportunity to empower individuals and families economically, so that they will later be able to support the sustainable development strategy, And deepening the national product in the local market, in addition to supporting and developing productive projects through training, providing them with the necessary services, and arming them with the skills that enable them to compete in the market.

In this regard, the participation of the Ministry of Social Development and the Family underscores its constant and tireless desire to support productive entrepreneurs "from home", which is part of the framework for achieving its vision and strategic plans and in liaising with institutions and agencies concerned with the family and the economic empowerment of women and encouraging them to become self-reliant and develop and implement their projects.

The Ministry is intensifying its efforts by holding training courses and introductory workshops on national industry and how to develop and thrive. It also seeks to provide the necessary services to promote their products, not only but also works hard to provide platforms, exhibitions, and outlets that enable them to display their industry to the public, market it, and link it to governmental and semi-governmental agencies, which can invest these efforts in developing their local projects to contribute to advancing economic development within the country.
