Ministry of Social Development and Family participates in 42nd UNESCO General Conference
Ministry of Social Development and Family is participating in the 42nd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with a delegation headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin. Managing social transformations is the process leaders and organizations use to develop social, economic, political, environmental, and cultural processes and activities in a given society. This process includes fundamental changes in values, beliefs, and social practices in social, governmental, legal, regulatory, and economic changes.
Analyzing social challenges, forecasting future trends, and developing effective strategies can achieve these transformations. These strategies include organizing media and awareness campaigns, training and education, social organizing, and cooperation with local and international partners and civil society.
Social transformation is a complex and long-term matter, and it requires a lot of work and cooperation between communities, governments, organizations, and individuals to achieve the needed changes, such as promoting gender equality, improving the environmental situation, developing sustainable societies, and overcoming racial and social discrimination.
Qatar National Vision 2030, considering comprehensive development as the primary goal of achieving progress and prosperity for citizens, aims to transform Qatar into an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring the continuation of a decent living for its people, generation after generation.
The Social Transformation Program is of great importance to the State of Qatar for several reasons:
- Understanding the challenges facing the community and identifying opportunities to achieve positive transformations.
- Enhancing international interaction and exchanging experiences: The program relies on international cooperation and encouraging interaction between countries to confront common social challenges, which strengthens the position of the State of Qatar in international systems.
- Enhancing inclusiveness and participation: The program can support efforts to achieve greater inclusiveness and increase the participation of various segments of society in decision-making.
- Promoting the concept of diversity and culture: It can enhance understanding between different cultures and promote the values of diversity and solidarity.
- Promoting technological transformations and innovation: Programs that deal with technological transformations and innovation that have an impact on different sectors of Qatari society.
- Strengthening the ability to adapt to future challenges: The program enables individuals and communities to adapt to future challenges. It contributes to building a more flexible and adaptable society.
The State of Qatar occupies a prominent position on the international scene, and participation in programs can enhance its role in achieving sustainable development and positive social transformations.
