Home Grown's projects participate in the Al Baraha Event
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, participated in the Al Baraha Event through the participation of Home Grown's projects. This event was held in Al-Rayyan Park, Al-Daayen, and Al-Shahaniya.
The projects varied between printing on cups and mobile phone cases, sewing and embroidering children’s clothes, gifts, an ice cream cart, perfumes, incense, and all kinds of coffee.
Mrs. Fatima Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry, said: “The Ministry of Social Development and Family always seeks to support these projects considering Qatar National Vision 2030 to reach a sustainable environment for Home Grown owners through marketing their projects. It also implements support projects for national projects through Providing various training opportunities and support services.”
The Stay Unique Leather project owner said, “My project was established, thanks to God, by an ambitious Qatari woman, and it is greatly inspired by the art of drawing on leather. Some of our products are made with great care using luxurious pieces decorated with artistic touches. Our products do not only reflect professionalism, but they represent the spirit of creativity. We take pride in creating unique pieces that attract art lovers alike.”
She added that the audience praised the Al Baraha Event for the hand drawing on various products, especially the painting of HH, the Father, Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The owner of the Olba Gift (Gift Boxes) project said, “I used to make boxes and bags to break the fast for those who were fasting. These boxes and bags contained snacks, refreshments, and water bottles. I continued to make them every year during Ramadan, trying hard to keep the shape of the boxes and bags beautiful and tidy, pleasing to the eye of the fasting person. I started my hobby after this work, as my passion for packaging became clear. I love creating unique gift boxes and packaging for children’s occasions: Garangao and Ramadan. Thus, I decided that it would be my passion."
She added that the Fun box is the most sold product, a puppy box with accompanying colors. She also pointed out that 50% of the available stock has been sold.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry adopts Qatar's National Vision 2030, aiming to build a developed society for its citizens.
