Home Grown’s Projects innovate in the National Sports Day
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, celebrated National Sports Day at Qatar Foundation in Souq Turba through the participation of home-grown owners in a joyful atmosphere that combines fun with benefit.
This participation came as an affirmation of the Ministry keenness to support national productive projects on Sports Day, emphasizing the importance of developing the capabilities of Home-Grown owners to increase the marketing rate of national products. These activities introduce these home products to the public and support the local economy as one of the Ministry priorities.
Sports Day is a vital opportunity to build a self-reliant society by supporting local products, helping women hone their skills, and increasing productive competition among citizens, especially about national products.
The participation in national productive projects on the sports day varied between artistic workshops and the sale of healthy foods, hot drinks, and juices, as well as the fashion section produced and designed by creative Qatari designers.
In this context, the Ministry of Social Development and Family has provided all the necessary elements to increase marketing opportunities for productive projects Home Grown. It is keen to support them continuously by inviting them to participate in various exhibitions and events throughout the year to develop their abilities and talents, promote their products, and empower them economically.
In this regard, Ms. Mariam Omar al-Bader, Vibes Prints owner, stated that the turnout on the sports day was especially great on the printing cart, where the audience was inquisitive about printing. I also found an interaction between them, and they were impressed by the ideas put forward, especially as it is a home project and not a factory or a business. "I found an acceptance of all categories: young, old, men and women, for all products of medals, bags, and clothes, " she said.
"I thank the Ministry of Social Development and the Family for this opportunity to be part of the Sports Day and for their constant encouragement and support for national productive projects," she added.
Mrs. Fatima Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, noted that the Ministry of Social Development and the Family always seeks to support owners of productive projects by marketing their projects in strategic locations, festivals, events, and exhibitions held by the country, and contributing to professionally developing business skills under a marketing platform bearing the slogan: Home Grown. The Ministry also implements and develops projects by providing various training opportunities and support services.
The products of national projects are popular among various segments of society, especially since they are high quality and meet consumer desires and demands at affordable prices.
