Home-Grown Projects showcased at National Sports Day Celebrations
Home-grown projects showcased their products at the Al Shamal Sports Club during National Sports Day activities, thanks to support from the Ministry of Social Development and Family's Family Empowerment Department. The event provided a platform for these businesses to promote their offerings and connect with the community.
Among the participating businesses was "Art of Good People," which specializes in traditional Qatari dishes and catering for various occasions. The owner emphasized the importance of promoting healthy eating habits, especially for athletes and individuals with specific dietary needs.
"We are here to raise awareness about healthy food choices and provide options for everyone," the owner said.
Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, affirmed the Ministry's ongoing support for home-grown businesses. "We are committed to providing opportunities for these businesses to showcase their products and contribute to the local economy," she said. "The 'From the Homeland' initiative encourages sustainable practices and empowers families to move from consumers to producers." [Mention how many businesses participated and give a few more examples of products if possible].
The Ministry's support for home-grown businesses aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030's goals of achieving social development and self-sufficiency, ultimately improving the quality of life for all citizens.
