Executive Bureau discusses sustainability of Gulf Theater Festival for People with Disabilities

The Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Council of Ministers of Social Affairs in GCC countries held a discussion session entitled ‘Sustainability of Gulf Theater Festival for People with Disabilities’.

The event was attended by the Director General of Executive Bureau H E Mohammed bin Hassan Al Obaidli and the heads of the Gulf delegations participating in the seventh edition of the festival, in addition to the Chairman of the Jury, Dr. Saad Al Borshid, and several officials, administrators, and participating artists with disabilities.

The symposium discussed ideas and visions aimed at developing the festival and ensuring its continuity, to achieve the goals for which it was established. 

The participants expressed their commitment to enhancing support for this important cultural event, which contributes to highlighting the talents of people with disabilities and improving their integration into the Gulf cultural and artistic scene.

The recommendations and proposals resulting from the discussions, related to developing the theatre festival and ensuring its sustainability, including plans to enhance support, expand the base of community partnerships, and encourage creative initiatives, will be prepared and submitted to the meeting of the GCC Social Affairs Ministers Committee in their next meeting, to discuss and approve them within the plans of the Council.
