The Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs visits the National Autism Center in Muscat

Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs, visited the National Autism Center in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman. This is based on her keenness and interest to know closely the roles of the center and the experiences between the two brotherly countries in the field of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.

She also inspected the center's departments and listened to a detailed explanation of the system used in rehabilitating autistic children and the mechanism in the evaluation department, where the latest comprehensive evaluation systems for autistic children are applied. She reviewed early intervention programs met several autistic children and shared training sessions and several activities with them.

She admired the quality and precision of the products manufactured by the Rehabilitation Department students, praising the work followed at the center and the administration’s keenness to provide various conditions that help treat these cases and provide them with the necessary skills for work and social communication.

Sheikha Sheikha praised the essential roles played by the National Autism Center, which has a great impact in promoting and empowering autistic children.

At the end of the tour, she thanked those in charge of the National Autism Center for their efforts to carry out the center’s mission. This was then followed by taking souvenir photos that brought together Sheikha Sheikha with the center’s children and staff.
