“Social Development” organizes a Home Grown’s exhibition for Ramadan 2024

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, held the Exhibition for National Productive Projects Home Grown for Ramadan 2024 at the Ministry’s building in Al-Shamal City.

This exhibition aims to empower the project owners in the northern regions in preparation for welcoming the holy month of Ramadan with various products and to provide the opportunity for owners of national productive projects to display and market their products by supporting and empowering them in other events held in the country. It comes within the framework of the ongoing initiatives of the Ministry to enable productive projects and expand their scope.

Four owners of national production projects participated in the Ramadan Exhibition 2024 from Al-shamal City. The production projects participating in this exhibition varied gifts, cold and hot food and drinks, Arabic coffee, food spices, and fashion sections produced and designed by creative Qatari designers.

One of the participants in the production projects said that she was happy to participate, as there was a great demand for her products: artistic pieces of gypsum mixed with white cement, which made a wonderful group of products such as coffee and tea coasters and warmers, trays of different shapes and sizes, and antiques made of gypsum filled with scented and unscented wax. The exhibition included the manufacture of wax filled with gypsum pieces, scented candle diffusers, and handcrafted presents for beautiful occasions: Teacher’s Day, National Day, Mother’s Day, birthdays, and other occasions.

She added that the best-selling products are coffee and tea warmers, coffee cup coasters, food trays, candles, and bows. There was a high demand for gifts and distributions, like free candles and birthday gifts.

Mrs. Fatima Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, stated that the Ministry always seeks to support owners of productive projects Home Grown by promoting their projects in strategic locations and participating in festivals, events, and exhibitions organized by the state throughout the year. The Ministry also seeks to develop exhibitor business skills professionally.

The products of national projects are popular among various segments of Qatari society, especially since they are of high quality and meet consumer requirements at reasonable prices.
