“Social Development” launches a portal site for owners of Home Grown’s projects

The Ministry of Social Development and Family announced the launch of a portal site for productive projects “Home Grown”, through its website, which aims to empower the owners, provide marketing opportunities for their products, increase their competitiveness, and develop their capabilities and skills.

This portal site System is considered a national system that includes a unified and integrated database for owners of national productive projects “Home Grown” registered under the umbrella of the Ministry, whose data is divided according to the type of products and geographical regions of the country, and the educational level and social status of each owner for each project.

It also aims to facilitate registration procedures for the public who own national production projects and benefit from the Ministry’s services provided to them, such as joining training courses and participating in marketing exhibitions. It also serves groups of talented people, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, and craftsmen, and all groups in society who have ideas and initiatives for productive projects.

The portal provides entrepreneurs with opportunities to participate in marketing exhibitions organized by the state, which is a successful opportunity to market their products. Home businesses and the products of those entrepreneurs are promoted through exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family with the relevant state authorities. Supporting owners of productive projects in the local market and introducing them through exhibitions, whether held in Qatar or abroad and training courses aims to develop the business of small business owners.

This electronic system contains an internal portal containing a database that includes all statistics and reports on the services provided to beneficiaries of courses, exhibitions, and awards. It is also linked to supporting and relevant bodies such as the Ministry of Commerce regarding the commercial permit for the home project and it is updated periodically, in addition to the Ministry of Health to update the medical certificates of the project owner and its workers.

It also provides an external portal that allows the public to self-register to benefit from the Ministry’s services, such as registering for training courses, marketing exhibitions, and incentive prizes. It is also possible to apply for registration as a new user through the electronic system portal for productive projects and enter the required information in the registration form.

In a related context, Ms. Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, said that allocating an electronic portal for owners of national productive projects is a positive step for the Ministry, especially in digital transformation. It has become possible to benefit from the services provided by the Ministry, such as applying as a new user for owners of productive projects, obtaining training courses, and applying for the Best Producer Award for productive projects, through easy and quick steps. The status of the submitted application can also be tracked through the portal.
