Social Development" and "Human Rights" develop cooperation
The Ministry of Social Development and Family signed an understanding memorandum with the National Human Rights Committee yesterday. This came to develop and deepen the cooperation between them and to benefit from the common capabilities of the two parties.
During the opening session of the International Conference on Climate Change and Human Rights, this memorandum was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family, while it was signed on behalf of the National Human Rights Committee by Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee.
The memorandum covers cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of lessons learned, enriching awareness-raising activities, and addressing international and local opinions on issues related to the social sector.

HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Sheikha Shaikha bint Jassim Al-Thani met with HE President of the Arab-European Center for Human Rights and International Law Aihan Fatah Jaff, on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development hosted by Qatar from November 4 to 6. During the meeting, they explored areas of joint cooperation in promoting social rights, empowering vulnerable groups, and supporting initiatives aimed at achieving justice, equality, and a dignified life for all.

Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, Fahd bin Mohammed Al Khayarin, on Friday, met with HE Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Diene Keita. Al Khayarin also met separately with the Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Rania Hedeya.
