Qatar reviews the implementation of the sustainable development agenda
On the sidelines of the 61st session of the Social Development Commission at the United Nations, Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family met with Her Excellency Mrs. Oksana Zolnevitch, Minister of Social Policies of Ukraine, Her Excellency Mr. Almas Isra Sisli, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Family and Social Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr. Lee Jinhua, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Economic and Social Affairs, and Dr. Ola Abo Al Ghayeb, Director of Disability Partnerships at the United Nations Development Fund. It was held at the organization's headquarters in New York.
During the meetings, they reviewed aspects and opportunities of cooperation in the field of developing services provided to people with disabilities, and ways of integration for the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They also discussed the topics on the agenda of the 61st session of the Social Development Committee and coordinated positions on issues raised, drafted resolutions, and relevant final recommendations.
