Qatar Participates in UN Nations Civil Society Conference
The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, participated in the United Nations Civil Society Conference, which conclude today in the Republic of Kenya.
Addressing the conference, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, Fahd bin Mohammed Al Khayareen, who headed the Qatari delegation to the conference, affirmed Qatar's keenness to ensure effective partnership between its governmental institutions and civil society structures. He expressed appreciation for the services provided by civil society institutions, especially private associations and institutions registered with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, and for their effective role in providing social, humanitarian, health and educational services.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family explained that its participation in the conference comes to transfer international experiences and expertise and success stories in investing in the relationship between state institutions and civil society institutions, and to enhance positive interaction with United Nations bodies.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Community Care Department, participated in a panel discussion organized by Sidra Medicine in collaboration with Msheireb Museums titled "Different Abilities, Shared Future: Disability and Success."
