Qatar participates in the Fifth International Conference on Action with Women and Peace
Qatar participates in the Fifth International Conference of Action with Women and Peace, which began on Thursday in the Korean capital Seoul. Qatar's delegation to the Conference is headed by Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam Bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misned, Minister of Social Development and Family.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Park Jin and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misned, Minister of Social Development and Family, addressed the opening session of the conference, stressing Qatar's desire to strengthen and enhance the role of women and young women in peacebuilding through its position as an active mediation and conflict resolution state.
During her speech, Her Excellency also stressed the solidarity of the State of Qatar with the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. Highlighting the extent of the challenges faced by Palestinian women due to the blatant violations committed by the occupation forces against them during this period.
Her Excellency, the Minister of Social Development and Family, stressed the commitment of the State of Qatar to continue cooperating with all parties concerned with the women, peace, and security agenda at all national, regional, and international levels. As well as to provide the necessary support to ensure its implementation on the ground and in a way that contributes to establishing sustainable peace and security throughout the world.
