Qatar Participates in 82nd Session of Arab Social Affairs Ministers' Executive Bureau

The State of Qatar participated in the 82nd session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al-Thani.
The meeting's agenda included some priority topics for joint Arab developmental social work, foremost among them support for the social conditions in the State of Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, due to the inhumane practices of Israel, the occupying power.
The agenda also addressed preparations for the Second World Summit for Social Development, scheduled to be held in Doha from 4 to 6 November, pursuant to a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly.
Additionally, the agenda covered preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit, set to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2026, especially the development of the social dossier in accordance with priorities that directly affect Arab citizens. Other topics included issues related to persons with disabilities, the elderly, families, and children.
The meeting also discussed support for several social development projects in Arab countries, with a focus on groups most in need of social protection, as part of efforts to implement the social dimensions of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and relevant Arab and international resolutions.
