MSDF Participates in GCC Session on Women in Technology in Riyadh
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) participated in a GCC session in Riyadh to discuss issues concerning women in the technology sector. The event was a dialogue session organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in collaboration with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).
The MSDF was represented by Her Excellency Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs. The session, held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters, was under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, GCC Secretary-General.
The discussion covered several key topics: empowering women in the ICT sector, cultural values and misinformation, electronic waste management, and a model legal framework for startups. The discussions underscored that empowering women in technology and innovation is a strategic investment that supports sustainable development and strengthens the position of GCC countries on the global digital stage.
