MSDF to organise Social Voluntary Work Forum to achieve community development
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Community Development Department, organize the Voluntary Social Work Forum on Monday, September 16, at Qatar University.
The forum is part of MSDF’s ongoing efforts to enhance the role of volunteer work in community development
The event aims at enhancing leadership and communication skills among all segments of society, through various activities and training workshops.
The purpose of the forum is also to promote the principle of volunteerism and integration into community activities and raise awareness of the importance of volunteering as a tool for achieving sustainable community development.
Several topics related to volunteer work, including the importance of volunteering in building a leadership and responsible personality, and the role of volunteering in improving social skills and enhancing community communication will be discussed at the forum.
It will also discuss mechanisms for developing volunteer initiatives and encouraging all segments of society to launch innovative volunteer projects that contribute to improving the quality of life and address community issues.
Director of the Community Development Department at MSDF, Anoud Madi Al Hajri said, "The Ministry of Social Development and Family seeks, through this forum, to enable all segments of society to understand their role in serving the community, and to encourage them participate actively into voluntary activities.”
She added: “We believe that volunteering is not only a way to provide assistance, but to develop individuals and build a more cohesive and cooperative society.”
Al Hajri noted that the forum provided participants with opportunities to learn about best practices in the field of volunteering and community participation and motivating students to engage in various volunteer activities that enhance the spirit of cooperation and community participation.
She stressed that the Ministry will organise similar events enhance the spirit of cooperation and community partnership among various segments of society, especially youth, who are the main pillar for achieving sustainable development.
MSDF seeks to build a culture of volunteering among members of society, due to their major role in supporting social and economic development and promoting human values in line with achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Director of the Planning, Quality, and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), Hamad Saud Al Henzab, participated in a session titled "Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Social Impact: Towards a Collective Charter for Responsible Digital Transformation." The session was organized by the Executive Office in partnership with the Ministry of Community Development in the United Arab Emirates, as part of the proceedings of the Second World Summit for Social Development.
