MSDF Minister Participates in the Second Global CSR Forum in Riyadh

H.E. Mrs. Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family (MSDF Minister), participated in the second edition of the Global CSR Forum, held in Riyadh under the theme "From Commitment to Impact," with the participation of a number of ministers, officials, experts and specialists in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The State of Qatar's participation in the forum reflects its commitment to strengthening the CSR system and consolidating the principles of partnership and integration among the government, private and non-profit sectors. It also aims to exchange expertise, experiences and best practices, thereby helping maximize social impact and support sustainable development pathways.

H.E. the Minister also took part in the International Ministerial Session held as part of the forum, titled "Promoting CSR at the Global Level." The session discussed the current state and evolution of CSR, the role of various sectors in enhancing its impact, key challenges, experiences and successful initiatives in this field, incentives that encourage private sector participation, and the importance of national indicators in measuring progress and impact.

During the session, H.E. presented Qatar's experience in CSR, highlighting key national efforts and initiatives in this area, particularly those related to enhancing community participation, fostering a culture of shared responsibility, and expanding partnerships and cooperation across sectors, in support of the State's social priorities and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Qatar's participation in the forum provided an opportunity to strengthen communication and exchange expertise with participating countries and entities, explore areas of cooperation of mutual interest in CSR, and benefit from successful experiences and practices to develop national initiatives and enhance their positive and sustainable impact on society.

MSDF's participation reflects its keenness to continue developing the CSR system and strengthening the integration of roles across sectors, supporting the building of effective and sustainable partnerships, and contributing to the achievement of social priorities and the comprehensive development of the State of Qatar.

On the sidelines of the forum, H.E. met with her counterpart, H.E. Mrs. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye. The meeting reviewed areas of cooperation in social work and family affairs, and exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in these fields.
