MSDF Launches Unified Digital Platform

MSDF Launches Unified Digital Platform

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) announced the launch of a unified digital platform for all its public services, as part of its efforts towards digital transformation and enhancing efficient, easy access to its services.

During a press conference held Wednesday, the Ministry said that its fully integrated digital platform, available in mobile app form on the Apple and Google app stores, enables users to access services anytime and from anywhere, in a reflection of the MSDF's commitment to adopting the latest digital technologies to serve the community.

The digital platform enables users to browse and apply for services with ease through a simple, unified interface, which also offers real-time tracking of requests and applications.

It added that users can view the status and details of their requests instantly, something that enhances transparency and providing full clarity on processing stages.

The platform also offers a comprehensive record of previous applications, making it easier to track and retrieve data when needed.

As part of leveraging modern technologies, the app includes an intelligent assistant powered by artificial intelligence that answers user inquiries and provides support, aligned with Qatar's direction toward adopting AI solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of government services.

The platform also provides a digital social security card, which beneficiaries could view and use without the need for a physical card, in a step that advances digital transformation.

The digital platform was designed according to the highest digital accessibility standards, ensuring ease of use for all segments of society, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.

The Ministry indicated that the platform will be launched in phases, the first of which will feature around 24 core services in the areas of housing and social security, with a gradual expansion taking place throughout the year to include additional services such as those related to associations, private institutions, and family affairs, with the ultimate goal being to reach a 100 percent digitalization.

The platform also provides a direct channel for submitting complaints and suggestions electronically, something that enhances communication with the public and supports continuous improvement efforts.

This step is expected to reduce the time and effort required to complete transactions, improve service efficiency, and minimize the need to visit the Ministry in person.

In this context, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the MSDF Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin said that the launch of the digital platform demonstrates the Ministry's commitment to accelerating digital transformation and adopting the latest technological solutions to enhance government services.

In a significant and unprecedented step towards digital transformation, the platform will provide a digital social security card, Al Khayarin noted, a key feature of the platform, facilitating quick and efficient access, alongside the provision of social security services online.

For his part, Director of the Information Systems Department at the MSDF Ahmed Khalil Abdullah said that the launch of the digital services platform and the Ministry's mobile app represents a pivotal step in the journey toward comprehensive digital transformation, seeking to deliver an integrated and user-friendly experience that places the customer at the center of the service.
