The Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) organized a workshop to raise awareness about the importance of saving money for owners of productive projects.
The workshop was held at Tamkeen Training Academy on World Savings Day which marks October 31. It addressed the importance of rationalizing consumption and regulating expenses, for raising community awareness about negative consumer habits.
It also contributed to improving living conditions and developing family economies, by enhancing cooperation with social, economic, educational, and media institutions.
Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fatima Mohammed Al Nuaimi said that the Ministry is working to achieve the Ministry’s vision of directing institutions concerned with women and families economically and encouraging them to rely on themselves.
She added: "We seek to develop and implement projects to support and develop productive project owners through training, providing support services, and platforms for marketing their products."
Al Nuaimi also explained that the Family Empowerment Department, in cooperation with the Tamkeen Training Center, completed the Global Savings Workshop, which came on the occasion of World Savings Day, targeting owners of productive projects in various sectors.
She said: “The participation of owners of productive projects under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Development and Family comes to provide them with new skills on how to save money, its stages and advantages, to make it a way of life.”
Al Nuaimi stressed that cooperation with Tamkeen Training Center will be ongoing cooperation in the coming period, through establishing and implementing programs and workshops dedicated to owners of national productive projects.
She said, "The initiative aims to empower them to develop their display and marketing methods and then integrate them into the local market and exhibitions in Qatar and abroad."
This event is an important step towards enhancing financial awareness in the community and motivating individuals to adopt effective saving and financial planning methods with Qatar National Vision 2030, by building a sustainable economy and promoting innovation and development for business and small projects.
