MSDF and Katara Cultural Village Foundation Exchange Expertise in Internal Auditing
As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise among government institutions, the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Internal Audit Department, organized a workshop with the Katara Cultural Village Foundation to exchange expertise and transfer knowledge in the field of internal auditing. The workshop was held on October 7 at the Ministry's headquarters.
Through the workshop, the Ministry seeks to exchange expertise and benefit from best professional practices in internal auditing among government institutions, contributing to enhanced institutional integration and a unified understanding of the mechanism for linking risk assessment to the preparation of the annual audit plan.
The workshop reviewed the methodology of the Internal Audit Department at the Ministry, from preparing the annual audit plan and identifying priority areas, through conducting audit engagements, to following up on recommendations.
Ms. Fatima Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Internal Audit Department at MSDF, said: "This workshop comes as part of the Ministry's keenness to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise with various entities, contributing to the development of internal audit practices and raising the efficiency of institutional work."
For her part, Ms. Hessa Yousef Al Sahl, Director of the Internal Audit Department at the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, said: "The exchange of expertise and knowledge among entities is one of the key tools for developing the internal audit system and enhancing its efficiency."
She added that Katara plans to organize another workshop for MSDF employees in the coming period, as part of the continued exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two entities.
