The Minister of Social Development and Family meets with her Mauritanian counterpart and UN officials
Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family, met with HE Mrs. Safia Mint Antah, the Mauritanian Minister of Social Work, Childhood and Family, Her Excellency Mrs. Lachi Zara Stevia, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations, and Mr. Yanis Vardakastanis, President of the International Disability Alliance, each separately, during her participation in the 15th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.
In these meetings, they reviewed aspects and opportunities for joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and the concerned parties, on developing the services provided to persons with disabilities and ways to enhance them through technical, skill and economic empowerment, as well as subjects on the agenda of the 15th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, coordination on research issues, and perceptions on draft resolutions and relevant final recommendations
