The Minister of Development meets with a number of ministers
Her Excellency Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the Minister of Social Development and Family, met with a number of ministers responsible of social development, family and women affairs, on the sidelines of her participation in the “International Forum for Highlighting the Struggles of the Algerian Women as a Model for the Struggle of Arab Women in the Process of Liberating their Homelands”, which was held Over two days as part of commemorating the 60th anniversary of Independence as well as the Youth Day, in the sisterly Republic of Algeria. Her Excellency met with HE. Mrs. Kawthar Kriko, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Issues in the Republic of Algeria, HE Mr. Laid Rebigua, Minister of Mujahideen and Algerian Rights Holders, HE Dr. Amal Hamad, Minister of Women's Affairs of the State of Palestine, HE Dr. Wafaa Al Kilani, Minister of Social Affairs in the State of Libya, and HE Mr. Advocate Mikatiko, head of the South African delegation to the forum, each separately.
The meetings reviewed the opportunities for cooperation in the field of social affairs, family and women, and ways to enhance and develop these opportunities, in addition to the topics on the forum's agenda.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Community Care Department, participated in a panel discussion organized by Sidra Medicine in collaboration with Msheireb Museums titled "Different Abilities, Shared Future: Disability and Success." The Ministry was represented by Ms. Muna Ibrahim Al-Raisi, an expert in elderly and disability studies, during a dialogue session that brought together a distinguished group of speakers from various fields, including medicine, psychology, sociology, and information technology.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Department of Community Care, organized a virtual awareness lecture titled "Down Syndrome Amidst Crises: Adaptation, Protection, and Family Support." This initiative is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness and provide specialized support for families of individuals with Down syndrome, particularly in light of the evolving challenges and circumstances that may affect the psychological and social stability of this group and their families.
