From the Homeland’s projects participate widely in the activities of “Social Development” 2024

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department and the Department of Associations and Private Institutions, participated in several activities targeting productive projects From the Homeland coinciding with the new year 2024.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family seeks to support the products of national production projects during the massive events hosted by the State of Qatar, as these events are considered a promising opportunity to promote these national products, such as AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2024 and their participation in the fourth exhibition of civil society organizations.

These participations came in five national productive projects From the Homeland, January 12 to February 3, in the Fun Zone at Lusail Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium, in addition to the activities accompanying the Asian Cup visitors interested in learning about local products and Qatari culture. The fourth civil society organizations exhibition began on January 16 and continued until January 18 at Expo - Doha in the exhibition center in the cultural district (2,3,4). The exhibition also paved the way for two productive projects, From the Homeland, to market their new products and initiatives that provide their services to the community.

The role of the Ministry is to provide exhibitions and events that allow national products to appear to the public, which increases their competitiveness, which subsequently achieves the recovery of the economic movement of society, encourages local production and self-employment among Qatari families, and enhances the role of women in the economic field and their contribution to the local production process.

The national production projects that participate in the activities held during the days of the Asian Cup included a display of traditional Qatari costumes that illustrate identity and cultural heritage, the possibility of taking photographs wearing Qatari traditional dress, displays of Sadu handicrafts, and places for henna engraving, which received a large number of thousands of visitors. The participation of productive projects this year in the fourth annual exhibition of civil society organizations comes with new products that suit the citizens and meet their desires, thus achieving their goals by contributing to the national economic process.

Mrs. Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, confirmed that the participation in productive projects aims to educate the fans who support the matches on local products made with Qatari hands, indicating that such huge events are one of the most beneficial marketing windows for national productive projects and their owners, especially after they participate in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. It also enhances the responsibilities of the roles of effective social partnership between the three sectors: public, private, and civil society organizations, thus ensuring their progress within the strategic plan of Qatar Vision 2030.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Social Development and Family and its departments and divisions seek to enhance cooperation between the owners of productive projects From the Homeland and the concerned parties from private and governmental institutions to achieve social development among families in the State of Qatar, as well as to benefit from the distinguished capabilities of those parties, in addition to awareness campaigns and guidance programs, are among the Ministry's roles that are accomplished as part of the community's service and achieving its development and stability.
