Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States: We have highlighted the burdens faced by disabled people

Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazala, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States confirmed that the work of the forty-second session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs discussed today the high-level event under the title: Rights of People with Disabilities and Multidimensional Poverty, in the presence of Ministers of Development Affairs Arab social and international organizations concerned, to address these issues and shed light on them.

 

In a special statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Ambassador stated that today's sessions shed light on the burdens faced by people with disabilities at all levels and fields, whether related to their working conditions or their health or economic lives, in addition to the launch of the multidimensional poverty report, which constitutes great importance.

 

The Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States pledged to support the State of Qatar in its new mission represented by the presidency of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, appreciating the good organization of hosting the forty-second session of this important occasion, which it does not consider strange to a country that hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
