World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is celebrated each year on 10 October to raise public awareness of mental health issues. The purpose of this day is to encourage more open discussions about mental illness and to invest in both services and prevention.
Qatar Social Responsibility Week 2024
These events will be held under the patronage of Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family, coinciding with World Social Responsibility Day, and aim to motivate the government and private sectors and non-profit sector organizations in the State of Qatar to interact positively with responsible practices in business environments in support of the efforts to develop communities and their institutions.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on December 3 every year. It is a global day dedicated by the United Nations since 1992 to support people with disabilities. This day aims to increase understanding of disability issues and support designs that are friendly to all in order to ensure the rights of people with disabilities. This day also calls for increasing awareness in the inclusion of people with disabilities in political, economic and cultural life.
7th Theatre Festival for Persons with Disabilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries
The festival aims to integrate people with disabilities into Gulf societies and raise the level of awareness of Gulf society about the talents and capabilities of people with disabilities.
It is an opportunity for them to present their issues in their way within the framework of artistic work, integrate them into society, and demonstrate their abilities to give and produce as they possess enormous creative energies and constitute an important segment of society. They have rights as well as duties towards their societies.
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women will mark the launch of the UNiTE campaign (Nov 25- Dec 10) — an initiative of 16 days of activism concluding on the day commemorating the International Human Rights Day (10 December).
