The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Development Department, with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, organized a celebration in several schools and kindergartens on the occasion of Gulf Family Day. It occurs on the 14th of September of each year as a special day to celebrate this occasion, out of emphasis on the importance of family and its profound role in strengthening and stabilizing family cohesion.
The purpose of Gulf Family Day is to strengthen the social institution of family by promoting family and social awareness, preserving authentic family values, and emphasizing its importance as the first building block of society.
Mrs. Dhabiya Al-Muqbali, Director of the Family Development Department at the Ministry, emphasized the importance of family as the foundation of society. She believes that regardless of culture and location, families are crucial to its development, progress, and advancement.
Mrs. Dhabiya Al-Muqbali has provided comments on the Ministry's involvement this year in collaboration with some schools in the country from September 14 to 18. The main objective of the Family Development Department is to promote positive outcomes for families in the Gulf region by emphasizing the significance of family and its various roles. By doing so, we aim to equip future generations with the necessary skills and knowledge to be more productive and contribute to society's progression.
Family Day activities were held in three locations over three days for Gulf families. Al Bayan Second Kindergarten, Abu Ayoub Al Ansari Kindergarten, and Vision International Academy hosted the events and attended by students and their parents.
