MSDF develops report writing skill of its employees
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MoSDF) represented by the Human Resources Department’s Training and Development Section organised a training course to improve skills of its employees in writing reports.
The course entitled “Report Writing” was held in cooperation with Bayt Al Hikma, from June 23 to 27. A total of 17 MoSDF employees attended the course.
The training course was presented by trainer Maryam Mohammed Al Awadhi. She is expert in administrative, leadership and human resources development skills.
It aimed at developing writing skills of the employees required for the administration, improve their performance on preparing and writing reports, enabling them to solve problems and improve the performance evaluation process.
The training course covered several topics, including nature of communications, its methods and types, administrative writing skills and the nature of the message, reports, their objectives and importance to management, and methods of classifying and writing them.
This is in addition to introducing meeting minutes and the procedures for writing minutes, and reviewing rules for writing good reports.
Regarding the importance of this training workshop, Maryam Al Awadhi said: “This course will enable the trainees to acquire the basic skills of writing, developing administrative writing skills and raising the employees’ performance in preparing and writing administrative reports.”
She added: “The skill of writing reports is one of the most important basic skills that an employee needs in all institutions for the success of administrative communication, presenting information in a better way and making decisions.”
At the end of the training course, participants will be able to learn about the concept of reports and letters, and learn official requirements for writing reports, letters and prepare meeting minutes accurately.
The Training and Development Section of the MoSDF’s Human Resources Department is responsible for assessing the training needs of employees in coordination with the various administrative units, following up on their implementation and evaluating the benefit.
The employee engagement process organised by the section also aims to develop employees in the administrative field, improve their creative abilities and develop their skills in various fields of work.
Training courses provide employees with the knowledge and experience necessary to develop their abilities and skills, train and develop them to improve their job performance.
